Eight of the World's Biggest Brands Discuss How They Use Social Media
Dell, Cisco, Intuit, Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo, SAP, and Pepsi to Share Case Studies at BlogWell San Francisco on June 23

CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/28/09 -- Social media executives from Dell, Cisco, Inuit, Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo, SAP, and Pepsi will share case studies on how they have experienced success engaging in corporate social media at BlogWell on June 23 in San Francisco.

These social media leaders will discuss how their brands engage fans, create content, deploy internal social media tools, handle BtoB blogging and work with agencies.

"Social media represents a disruptive set of technologies and techniques that will transform a company's business practices, improve conversational capabilities with customers and empower employees to learn and share their knowledge in real time," said Bob Pearson, President of the Blog Council. "BlogWell is the only event of its kind. Nowhere else do so many major brands -- competitors and partners alike -- come together to share ideas, strategies and best practices as they collaborate to overcome common challenges in social media."

BlogWell is hosted by GasPedal and the Blog Council -- a community for the heads of blogging and social media at the largest corporations in the world. April's BlogWell in New York drew more than 75 major brands and featured case studies from Microsoft, GE, Nokia, Turner Broadcasting System, Tyson Foods, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Coca-Cola, and Johnson & Johnson.

"BlogWell is a glimpse of Blog Council membership -- where a group of practitioners can turn to each other for practical advice on how to achieve results with social media and big business," said Andy Sernovitz, CEO of GasPedal and the Blog Council. "Because the trend is clear: Social media is no longer experimental. It's essential for every company."
