The Institute for Sustainable Communication ("ISC") is pleased to announce a new eSeminar, "How Sustainability and Adobe Acrobat 9 Can Save Any Organization Time and Money." The eSeminar, scheduled for April 23, 2009 will be presented by
Donald Carli
, Senior Research Fellow at the ISC.
Made possible though a generous sponsorship grant from Adobe, the eSeminar supports the ISC's mission to increase the understanding of sustainability best practices and to assist individuals and organizations in adopting more sustainable print and digital media workflows aligns with Earth Day.
The eSeminar will provide solutions for organizations of all sizes that face the challenges of balancing cost reductions, process improvements and increasing productivity while addressing commitments to sustainable business practices that minimize environmental impacts and reduce carbon footprints.
"Today, companies need to look at the 'triple bottom line' of their workflow processes -- meaning the financial, social and environmental impact of how they conduct business," explains
Nico Juber
, Acrobat Field Marketing Manager, Adobe Systems, Inc. "Adobe Acrobat 9 provides tools which help save time and money by making file creation, sharing and production a faster, simpler and more predictable process. With Acrobat.com, real-time online collaboration has never been easier, enabling companies to work more cost and time-efficiently with distributed work teams. Together, Acrobat 9 and Acrobat.com form a strong foundation for any company's commitment to sustainable workflow solutions."
The eSeminar will highlight how Acrobat 9 Pro, when used with sustainable initiatives, can enable an organization to:
- Improve communication and collaboration workflows -- Streamline outdated methods with more secure, easy-to-share PDF files
- Maximize efficiency -- Standardize communication and collaboration for better productivity
- Reduce paper use, greenhouse gas emissions and wasted energy -- Shrink the carbon footprint, help reduce costs and eliminate inefficient practices
- Increase security -- Ensure safe and more secure digital storage and transmission of mission-critical documents.
According to
Don Carli
, "All too often, the promise of the paperless office seems to have faded, and a veritable paperwork jungle has taken its place. While the paperless office is unlikely to be a practical reality for some time to come, with Adobe PDF and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, each of us can take meaningful steps to simplify our communication document workflows by using an extension of Adobe tools that we already know well."
