Flash for Smartphones On Its Way from Adobe
Flash Player 10 will soon be introduced on high-end mobile phones
Feb. 18, 2009 05:45 AM
Flash Player 10 will soon be introduced on high-end mobile phones, Adobe announced during the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Adobe also announced today the availability of the Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable Player, an over-the-air mobile runtime which is available immediately as a public beta.

Adobe will be porting Flash 10 to practically every smartphone OS - including Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian and Palm Pre platforms by the end of 2009 - except the iPhone, which will disappoint many iPhone developers.
“We realized that, with smartphones, people want to browse the whole of the Internet, so they need every feature in the full desktop Flash Player” said Adobe’s Zeke Koch.
