Handmark(R) Pocket Express(R) Demonstrated at Symbian Exhibit at 3GSM World Congress 2005
Breakthrough Handmark (R) Wireless Service Bundle Available for Download to Symbian OS(TM) Smartphones at 3GSM

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Handmark(R), the leading developer and publisher of software for smart mobile devices, today announced that its Pocket Express(R) bundle of seven essential news, weather, sports, business and entertainment services for wireless devices will be demonstrated at the Symbian exhibition at 3GSM World Congress 05, February 14-17, in hall 1, stand B11.

A free 30-day subscription to the Pocket Express service, which is easier than web browsing on small devices and delivers information up to 30 times faster with 80 percent fewer keystrokes, will be available for onsite downloading at the Symbian exhibition.

Pocket Express combines seven leading services: news; stock quotes; sports information including scores, schedules and standings; weather conditions and forecasts for over 2 million locations worldwide; maps and directions; movies; and 411 white and yellow page searches. The popular service supports a number of Symbian OS-based smartphones including many Nokia phones with the Series 60 user interface and Sony Ericsson phones with the UIQ(TM) user interface.

Handmark joined the Symbian Platinum Partner program in October 2004 to extend many of its smart mobile software applications to the Symbian OS ecosystem. Symbian is the world's leading open operating system, powering today's most popular smartphones. "Handmark is delivering one of the world's foremost productivity and lifestyle applications," said Handmark executive vice president Douglas Edwards. "Pocket Express gives mobile users a fast, reliable, and tremendously useful platform for delivering up-to-the-minute information. Exhibiting at Symbian's booth at the 3GSM World Congress 05 provides a great opportunity to showcase what Pocket Express can offer Symbian OS smartphone users."

Pocket Express, a 2005 Codie Award finalist for Best Mobile Content Service, is priced at just $6.99 (U.S.) a month or $69.99 a year. To see Pocket Express in action, visit the Symbian exhibit at 3GSM World Conference 05, Stand B11, Hall 1 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congress, Cannes, France from February 14-16, or log on to http://express.handmark.com/ for a free one month subscription.
