Adobe's Creative Suite 4
Introduced New Tiered Upgrade Pricing and Made the Web-Publishing Package Faster and More Facile at Repurposing Design Content

Adobe put Creative Suite 4 (CS4), its updated flagship, in play the other day, introducing new tiered upgrade pricing and making the web-publishing package – a collection of 13 programs like Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash – faster and more facile at repurposing design content across print, web, mobile, film, interactive and video.
According to Adobe, advertising the rev as “breakthrough” says the widgetry “brings down the walls between designers and developers” who are “shaping the way people consume information, share ideas, sell products, tell stories and create memorable experiences.”
The software, which means tighter integration between Adobe’s products and its acquired Macromedia Flash, won’t be available until October. Then it will run $1,699-$2,499.
Adobe claims a 20%-50% performance increase for CS4 over CS3.
