Industry News Desk The Planet Expands Virtualization Portfolio with Microsoft
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V Will Be Available Through the Company's Planet Alpha Dedicated Servers Hosting Division
Sep. 25, 2008 05:00 PM
Vashi continues, "Many companies are looking to better utilize their server assets, which has long been the promise of virtualization." Vashi concludes,"As a Microsoft Gold-Certified Partner, we see Hyper-V as a new option that helps businesses better manage their IT infrastructures." The new hypervisor-based technology will be available through the company's Planet Alpha Dedicated Servers hosting division. To increase flexibility, value and reliability, Hyper-V enables multiple operating systems to run on a single physical server as virtual machines. Whether it's Windows or Linux, servers operate in parallel on a single server. Customers are able to consolidate their workloads across multiple underutilized servers on a small number of systems and to leverage their technology investments. Hyper-V joins The Planet's existing virtualization portfolio, which includes Parallels Virtuozzo.
