rPath announced CipherOptics has selected rBuilder and the rPath Appliance Platform to build and maintain its encryption key server application, Key Authority Point.
rBuilder is a development platform that simplifies and automates the creation of hardware and virtual appliances. The rPath Appliance Platform technology gives CipherOptics complete appliance lifecycle management capabilities, from creation through deployment, configuration, management, and update.
“rPath’s technology enables us to control the entire build of the appliance and the flexibility to use only the components we need. With rBuilder, we can customize the delivery format of our application to suit our customers’ choice of traditional server or virtualized infrastructure,” stated Scott Palmquist, Senior Vice President of Product Management for CipherOptics.
CipherOptics’ network-wide encryption solutions help organizations protect their sensitive data, mitigate network security risks and help with regulatory compliance. The Key Authority Point is the encryption key distribution function of CipherEngine, the company’s innovative security policy and encryption key management solution. CipherEngine provides organizations with centralized control of the generation and dynamic distribution of policies and keys for their entire network, without compromising application or network performance.
Using rPath technology has simplified CipherOptics' software deployment process and streamlined the process of getting updates into the field.
“rPath technology enables CipherOptics to streamline the delivery of their innovative solutions to their customers. Whether a customer wants a hardware appliance or a virtual appliance, CipherOptics can rely on rPath technology to create, deliver and maintain their Key Authority Point solution as an appliance that is easy to configure and maintain,” said Billy Marshall, rPath Founder and CEO.
