Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Costco Travel Selects Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Preferred Provider
Costco Travel Selects Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Preferred Provider

ST. LOUIS and ISSAQUAH, Wash., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Costco Travel and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, North America's largest rental car company, today announced a preferred provider relationship that will allow the more than 38 million Costco members to save on car rentals at any of Enterprise's more than 7,000 locations worldwide.

"We're very pleased to add Enterprise to our rental car program. The company joins our other partners in recognizing the importance of providing Costco members a quality product, quality service and exceptional value. Our rental car program is very successful and popular among traveling Costco members, and we're confident Enterprise will enhance our existing program by offering members more accessibility to rent a car in their neighborhood locations," said Shannon Parker, general merchandising manager for Costco Travel.

The Costco member price is reduced from Enterprise's already low rates, which generally are about 25 percent below the market average, and Costco members can save on daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Costco members can enjoy these savings at all of Enterprise's neighborhood and airport locations in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland and Germany.

"Costco members are savvy consumers who know quality and value," said Steve Short, vice president of Leisure Business Development for Enterprise. "They can expect the same outstanding selection and service with Enterprise that they're used to receiving with all other Costco Travel products."

To make a car rental reservation, simply call Costco Travel at 1-877-849-2730, and mention Customer Number CSTCX8. Costco members are asked to give their membership number at the time of reservation and to show their membership card at time of rental.
