Mar. 19, 2008 09:00 AM
With the help of SYS-CON Media, the organizers of AJAXWorld 2008 East, the Dreamface Event will run from March 19, the first day full day of the conference, through June 19, 2008, and will be open to all developers. The object of the DreamFace Developer Challenge is to build the best DreamFace DataWidget. A DataWidget is a widget that uses, manipulates, and displays data. For the DreamFace Developer Challenge the data will be limited to public data sources, such as RSS feeds, XML files, public databases, and web services, that are available through public URLs. The DataWidget platform, www.datawidget.net, will host the challenge and will become a boutique for DreamFace DataWidget exchange at the conclusion of the challenge. The DataWidgets will be judged on creativity, usefulness, and originality. The top three DataWidgets will be selected by DreamFace, SYS-CON Media, and a jury composed of industry experts. Winners will be recognized in a press announcement and their DataWidgets will be showcased on the DataWidget platform. The winner will receive an Apple iPhone. Olivier Poupeney, CEO and co-founder of DreamFace Interactive explains: “We are very pleased to launch our first developer challenge with our partner SYS-CON Media at AJAXWorld 2008 East. Our main goal for the challenge is to reveal the power, speed, and simplicity of our latest version, DreamFace “Outsider,” to the most voracious group of AJAX developers. We want to put it in their hands and have them discover the depth and potential of our Enterprise-ready Web 2.0 Framework. Our second goal is to create more value for the DreamFace Community by increasing the number of publicly available DataWidget templates on our DataWidget platform, www.datawidget.net. Finally, we hope to discover new ways to use the DreamFace Web 2.0 Framework through developer creativity and demands. In other words, we hope they’ll put DreamFace to the test. And of course we hope DreamFace will meet and exceed their expectations.” Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
