Solutions Optimized for Information Extraction on IP Networks

Qosmos announced their ability to deliver Qosmos Qoala software suite ready-to-run on Bivio Networks' B2000 Series DPI platforms.

Qosmos Qoala is a Software Development Kit (SDK) incorporating advanced Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) features and a comprehensive library of protocol and application signatures, which offers exceptionally high recognition rates for application protocols, to empower the development of new revenue generating services demanding real-time monitoring and extraction of key data traveling over IP networks. Qoala solution enables Qosmos customers to build a large range of innovative services such as data leak prevention, audience measurements, service quality and customer experience management, intercept applications, targeted advertising campaigns, and content-based billing systems.

"We are pleased to be able to leverage Bivio Networks' innovative high performance platforms to provide Independent Software Vendors, Networking Equipment Manufacturers and System Integrators with a powerful and complete solution to extract critical information from IP traffic at network speed, in order to perform in-depth analysis of network performance, security, applications and usages," said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO of Qosmos.

Bivio Networks' B2000 delivers high-performance deep packet inspection and processing on an open, general-purpose network appliance platform combining superior hardware architecture with a comprehensive set of value-added networking and management features. DPI application developers such as Qosmos can achieve instant differentiation by using this standard Linux environment to quickly port any Linux-based networking application to the Bivio 2000 and take full advantage of the platforms deep packet inspection and processing capabilities and unmatched networking performance.

"Qosmos' Qoala software suite is an exceptionally powerful software development kit which enables their customers to deploy best in class DPI solutions for advanced information extraction on IP networks," said Dr. Elan Amir, president and CEO of Bivio Networks. "We are happy to have Qosmos join our family of DPI-enabled software partners, to deliver their best-in-breed applications on Bivio's industry leading deep packet inspection and processing platforms."
