Akamai's Tim Napoleon To Keynote iTVCon - Internet Video Conference in San Francisco

The Media and Entertainment Product Line Director for Akamai Technologies, Tim Napoleon, will be giving the opening keynote at iTVCon - Internet Video Conference & Expo next month in San Francisco. Prior to joining Akamai, Napoleon worked closely with Adobe to launch the Flash Video Streaming service at a content delivery startup, so he is uniquely well qualified to cover the most burning topics du jour, including Silverlight versus Flash as the Internet video platform of choice.

Napoleon has an accomplished record as a marketing and business professional in the online and media and entertainment industries. He is an avid supporter of the arts by volunteering on several independent films screened at Sundance and producing a DVD series on classic drawing skills. Thanks a lot

I have a client who is possibly interested in having streaming video on his site. (not an adult site, it's a music site). I asked the hosting company I resell for if it is ok to run on his servers. This is what he said:

"We don't run any proprietary servers, so the video will need to be prepared in a form that can be delivered via HTTP streaming. All modern streaming video formats support this."

I don't really understand how to actually set this up, what code do I actually use etc.
