XML Global and Altova Reduce Data Integration Costs with Launch of XML Integration Workbench

(May 23, 2002) - Altova Inc., the provider of XML Spy 4.3 Suite, and XML Global Technologies, Inc., an XML middleware company, have launched XML Integration Workbench, a powerful and cost-effective alternative to solutions offered by the large integration vendors. The XML Integration Workbench is a data integration solution for small and midsize companies currently underserved by the market, as well as for larger corporations seeking scalable, enterprise-ready data integration tools. The XML Integration Workbench is an inexpensive and standards-based way to manage tactical point-to-point integrations and data transformation projects. When integrators are ready to make their solutions available to others in the enterprise, or even outside the organization, they can then be deployed to GoXML Transform Enterprise Edition. This enterprise-ready functionality allows organizations to centralize transformation rules and schemas, plug into workflow engines and message queues, make transformations available as Web services, and connect to virtually any back office system. The XML Integration Workbench bundles together three powerful XML-based tools including GoXML Transform Workbench, a modular solution for integrating structured data, GoXML DB Workbench, a native XML database, and the XML Spy Suite from Altova, a strategic XML Global technology partner. XML Spy allows XML content and stylesheet management, XML editing and validation, Schema and DTD design, and XSLT based transformation. For Web-based data entry, XML Spy's e-Forms Browser Plug-in is integrated with GoXML DB. The XML Integration Workbench is delivered on the Windows platform. GoXML Transform and DB also support Solaris and Linux.
