JClass ServerViews 3.0 Now Web Services-Ready

(November 18, 2002)- Quest Software, Inc.'s JClass ServerViews 3.0, a set of 100 percent Java server-side components, now offers complete XML support for Web Services. (Sitraka, developer of JClass ServerViews, was recently acquired by Quest Software.) JClass ServerViews components bring dynamic charts and PDF documents from a J2EE application server to the browsers of an entire network of users. All JClass ServerViews components can now load and save data and properties as XML, enabling Web Services developers to more easily work with components. JClass ServerViews includes JClass ServerReport 3.0, now with a visual report design tool, and JClass ServerChart 3.0. Furthering its Web Services support, JClass ServerReport and JClass ServerChart can now generate language-specific content for each user, a feature that becomes increasingly important when a Web service or Web application may be consumed by users around the globe. JClass ServerReport supports foreign-language fonts, 16-bit Unicode text, and PDF compression, enabling developers to generate PDF documents containing Asian and other foreign language content. Also recently released: JClass DesktopViews 6.1, a collection of client-side Java components, with the latest JDK support (JDK 1.4.1). Notable new features include exploded 3-D pie slices in JClass Chart, MouseWheel support in JClass LiveTable, and internationalization enhancements throughout the components.
