Cellfire Launches First Mobile Couponing Service in Maine
Nation's Leader in Mobile Phone Couponing Teams Up With Bangor Merchants

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellfire, the first nationwide mobile couponing service for cell phone users, today announced that Maine residents can now get coupons to their mobile phones to save on local retail purchases and receive in-store promotions.

Cellfire partnered with four Bangor merchants to roll out its service in Maine and plans to expand the service to other cities soon. Maine consumers who download Cellfire's application to their mobile phones from http://www.cellfire.com/state/me will receive digital coupons for meals, entertainment, retail purchases and other promotional items from the participating Bangor merchants. The deals are redeemed at the point of sale, where the coupon is read from the phone and applied to the purchase.

Cellfire chose Bangor to launch its service in Maine because of its proximity to the University of Maine and its concentration of teens, young adults and early younger Baby Boomers.

"Bangor is the perfect location to launch Cellfire in Maine because there is a high proportion of people in the city who are comfortable with technology and love their cell phones," said Brent Dusing, CEO of Cellfire. "For consumers, Cellfire is a great way to get great deals on your favorite items and take advantage of offers from other national brand name retailers. For merchants, Cellfire is a great way to reach a growing market of consumers who are looking for new ways to save."

The Bangor merchants and offers include the following: The Sports Arena, 1640 Hammond Street * Free game of bowling with purchase of a game of bowling * Free game of pool with purchase of a game of pool * Free order of Buffalo Wings with order of Buffalo Wings of equal or greater value Quality Jewelers, Penobscot Plaza, 57 Washington Street * Save $50 on any $100 or more purchase * Free bottle of jewelry cleaner, valued at $5.99 Arby's, Bangor Mall Boulevard * Save $1 off any sandwich, medium fry and medium drink * Save $1 off any salad & drink combo Pete & Larry's Lounge, Holiday Inn Odlin Road * Free Pete & Larry's T-shirt. No purchase necessary.

In addition to the initial group of Bangor merchants, Cellfire offers savings from Hardee's restaurants, Domino's Pizza, magazine publisher Meredith Corp., Peet's Coffee & Tea, Hollywood Video, T.G.I. Friday's, 1-800-flowers.com, Omaha Steaks, North Beach Pizza, and Pizz'a Chicago, among others. Cellfire frequently adds new merchants and updates coupon offers often.

Cellfire works with virtually every handset manufacturer and automatically uploads discounts to a consumer's cell phone. By clicking on the digital coupon, consumers receive a unique redemption code that is presented at the time of the purchase. Unlike text-based coupons, Cellfire's application-based service enables consumers to easily store, search and use many discounts.

Merchants interested in Cellfire's program in Maine should contact Kevin Stevenson, kstevenson@cellfire.com, 207.945.3702.
