The SCA spec is supposed to simplify services building and the SDO is supposed to enable uniform access to data residing in multiple locations and formats. The Java piece of the SDO will go to the Java Community Process, the non-Java side to OASIS. Collaboration members include BEA, IBM, Iona, Oracle, Red Hat, SAP, Siemens, Sun, Sybase and TIBCO.
