MONTVALE, NJ, August 15, 2002 -- MONTVALE, NJ, August 15, 2002 - SYS-CON Media (www.sys-con.com), headquartered in Montvale, New Jersey, announced today that the company has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Technology Fast 50" program for New Jersey, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the region, for the second year in a row. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues for the five-year period, from 1997-2001. SYS-CON Media's founder and CEO Fuat Kircaali credits the company's undivided focus on customer satisfaction and unmatched value proposition to its customers for the impressive revenue growth from 1997-2001. "We are delighted to be a 2002 New Jersey Technology Fast 50 winner," said Fuat Kircaali. "Although we have experienced impressive growth since our company's inception in 1994, only after SYS-CON turned 5 years old were we eligible for these nominations. Today we accepted our fourth award and are confident we'll continue to achieve growth recognitions at national level next year and going forward." "In today's economy, triple-digit percentage revenue growth is an exceptional accomplishment," said Ray Lewis, Deloitte & Touche Technology, Media & Telecommunications Partner. "We commend SYS-CON Media for making the commitment to technology and delivering on the promise of market longevity. We are proud to honor SYS-CON as a Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 winner for the second year in a row." SYS-CON's increase in revenues of 752% percent from 1997 to 2001 resulted in a 29th ranking overall in the Fast 50 for New Jersey. The total revenue growth of all 2002 New Jersey Fast 50 companies over the last five years was $4.4 billion. While Fast 50 winners from the software/IT solutions industry had the largest average percentage growth over the past five years (at 1,286 percent), those in the telecommunications space have shown the largest total revenue growth ($2.3 billion), as compared to the software/IT solutions' category showing $1.2 billion worth of growth. To qualify for the Fast 500, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1997 and $1,000,000 in 2001, must be public or private companies headquartered North America, and be "technology companies" defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology. Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
