Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

SYS-CON Media, the World's Leading i-Technology Magazine Publisher, Reports Nine Year Record Revenue and Earnings in 2002
SYS-CON Ends Fiscal Year 2002 with Two National Growth Awards - Selection to Inc 500 for the Third Year, and Deloitte & Touche T

Montvale, NJ, Jan 27, 2003 - SYS-CON Media announced today that the company ended its fiscal year 2002 with record revenues and earnings for the past nine years, since its inception. SYS-CON, a privately owned media company, publishes 10 monthly i-technology magazines - including Linux Business & Technology (bipad 02971) magazine announced last week at LinuxWorld - and produces international conferences and expositions, education programs, and leading i-technology Web sites.

"Economic conditions have been particularly challenging during the past two years," said Fuat Kircaali, founder and CEO of SYS-CON Media. "Like any other company operating in the technology and media sectors, we have been adversely affected by the stagnant economic conditions. However this did not prevent us from delivering our ninth record growth year in 2002. We introduced three new monthly magazines, in addition to our existing portfolio of world leading i-technology publications."

"In today's economy, triple-digit percentage revenue growth is an exceptional accomplishment," said Ray Lewis, Deloitte & Touche Technology, Media & Telecommunications Partner, earlier in 2002. "We commend SYS-CON Media for making the commitment to technology and delivering on the promise of market longevity. We are proud to honor SYS-CON as a Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 winner for the second year in a row."

SYS-CON Media was recognized by both Inc 500 http://www.sys-con.com/2002/PR/11092002.cfm and Deloitte & Touche http://www.sys-con.com/2002/PR/11162002.cfm, based on its impressive growth.

SYS-CON launched its latest i-technology magazine, .NET Developer's Journal this January and announced Linux Business & Technology magazine, to debut in May 2003. Two additional i-technology magazine titles will be announced in 2003. In addition, the company is focusing on international expansion for its popular magazines and conferences.

Entering into Consumer Markets in 2003

SYS-CON Media will be expanding into consumer markets with the June 2003 launch of "Million Dollar Homes" (bipad 02999) and the August 2003 launch of "International Yacht Vacations & Charters" (bipad 01878). Both of these consumer titles will be launched in partnership with Kircaali Media, Inc., a Lighthouse Point, Florida-based magazine publisher, specializing in luxury lifestyle consumer titles.
