Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

EnginData Research Chooses SYS-CON Media As Exclusive Media Partner
EnginData to Offer $1 Million in Incentives to 20,000 Survey Participants for Their First Industry Report, 'Java Developer Marke

Princeton, NJ, January 22, 2002 - EnginData Research, LLC (www.engindata.com), headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, announced today the selection of SYS-CON Media as their exclusive media partner. EnginData will rely heavily on SYS-CON Media's reader base of over half a million developers to conduct their developer surveys.

The first i-technology developer survey, "Java Developer Market Survey 2002," will be conducted among Java developers during the first week of February. EnginData estimates that more than 20,000 Java professionals from North America and around the world will participate in the study, making this the largest data sample ever used in a developer survey of this type.

"We are extremely excited to partner with SYS-CON Media," said Levent Esen, cofounder and CEO of EnginData. "There has been a major void in research data in the specific i-technology markets we will be serving and the type of market data we will provide to our client companies. SYS-CON's readership of 10 monthly magazines and journals includes some of the most influential decision makers in i-technology markets and an excellent mix of demographics to tap into."

"This will be a true partnership between SYS-CON Media and EnginData, two sister companies" said Grisha Davida, vice president of business development for SYS-CON Media. "EnginData will offer free one-year subscriptions to Java Developer's Journal to the first 20,000 qualified participants in the Java Developer Market Survey. This is a great incentive and a one-time opportunity for all survey participants. (SYS-CON discontinued all free subscriptions to JDJ for qualified readers as of its June 2001 issue when circulation goals were exceeded by more than 60%.) JDJ's one-year, 12-issue domestic subscription price is currently $49.99."

As part of the partnership agreement between the two companies, SYS-CON Media will also publish excerpts from EnginData research reports and industry surveys in their 10 monthly magazines and journals as well as on their Web sites.
