Reactivity Chosen by CheckFree Corporation for SOA Infrastructure Enablement
Reactivity Gateway Solution Simplifies Web Services Management for Provider of Financial Electronic Services

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/15/07 -- Reactivity® Inc., the leading vendor delivering on the promise of SOA, today announced that Reactivity has been chosen by CheckFree Corporation (NASDAQ: CKFR) for its SOA infrastructure and Web service delivery. Reactivity's Gateway serves as a mediation engine that manages, secures and accelerates Web services designed for CheckFree clients, simplifying the front-end development and deployment.

CheckFree supports the electronic billing and payment services of more than 2,000 banks, brokerages and credit unions. Reactivity's Gateway product will be used to support the functionality of CheckFree Builder(TM), an open Web services solution that enables financial institutions to build customized online offerings that integrate electronic billing and payment, financial management capabilities and other transaction and banking data into a single site.

The SOA infrastructure enabled by Reactivity's Gateway product transforms how businesses process information while continuing to make the end-user experience feel increasingly seamless. The process empowers business application developers to build robust Web services without having to directly manage aspects such as transport and XML (Extensible Markup Language) message-based security, performance acceleration, and operational controls. XML is a flexible way to create common information formats and share both the format and the data electronically.

"The Reactivity Gateway is the centerpiece of our client-facing XML infrastructure," said John Horn, senior security analyst, CheckFree Corporation. "Our evaluation and testing showed us that the Reactivity XML appliance was an excellent platform to deliver robust and secure Web services to our clients. Additionally, Reactivity's performance was assessed as superior in our core product use cases. As we move into production, we expect this technology to dramatically impact the delivery of Web services to our client base."

"The work that CheckFree is doing in SOA is another powerful example of how Reactivity is enabling Web service and SOA development and deployment in enterprises today," said Bill Messer, president and COO of Reactivity, Inc. "The flexibility that CheckFree will be able to offer customers with customizable Web services will help as the Company continues to transform the electronic payment industry."

Reactivity offers the only scaleable, comprehensive and cost-effective solution for infrastructure-enablement capabilities that customers are demanding. The ability to provision, manage and control standards throughout the infrastructure is critical for future success of SOA environments. Today's XML appliances move beyond the security challenge and enable the creation, integration and enforcement of SOA policies throughout the infrastructure.

Reactivity's products enable SOA delivery at some of the largest organizations in the world while reducing management complexity and the cost of maintenance. At the same time, the reliability and serviceability have increased through usage of Reactivity technology. Global 1000 organizations continue to recognize that Reactivity's solutions are the premier choice for companies who want to realize the full promise of SOA. Today, Reactivity customers are conducting billions of dollars in XML transactions each month.
