Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Nexaweb and Inkriti Partner to Provide Ajax-Based Enterprise Web 2.0 Application to the Hospitality Industry
New Online Web-Based Reservation Application Provides Quicker Response Times and a Richer User Experience

BURLINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/12/07 -- Nexaweb Technologies, Inc., provider of the leading standards-based platform for building and deploying Enterprise Web 2.0 (EW2.0) applications, and Inkriti, a technology consulting company that is a leading provider of Web 2.0 Solutions for customer-centric e-business, today announced a new "One-Page-Reservation" application designed to make online hotel and motel reservations quicker and easier.

Using Nexaweb's Enterprise Web 2.0 Platform, Inkriti built the new Ajax-based One-Page-Reservation solution specifically designed to make online reservations more intuitive and easier, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and conversion rates. The rich Nexaweb user interface (UI) provides corporate users with the ability to access room rates and inventory. They can make changes to rates, inventory allocations, availability status and other functions, without having to wait for the data to refresh. The customer-facing UI significantly streamlines the online reservation process, allowing selection of reservations to be made according to cost, location and availability.

"Our work with Best Western allowed the hotel chain to save millions of dollars in IT and training costs while simultaneously freeing the staff to focus on service, which significantly increased hotel guest satisfaction," said David McFarlane, COO of Nexaweb. "It is the ease of development, reliability, security and interoperability offered by Nexaweb's Enterprise Web 2.0 Platform that will allow us to support Inkriti in its mission to offer customer-centric e-business applications. We are excited to be working with Inkriti because they truly understand the value of Web 2.0, and how it can impact e-business."

"We firmly believe in Web 2.0 as the next frontier for creating rich, interactive online experiences that attract, convert and retain more online customers," said Vinod Pabba, CEO of Inkriti. "The One-Page-Reservation application is an example of innovative use of Web 2.0 principles to increase conversion rates for hotel reservations online. The Nexaweb Enterprise Web 2.0 platform was instrumental in rolling out a robust solution very quickly."
