We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Tidal Software Names Jim Green and Shahan Soghikian to Board of Directors
Composite Software CEO and Panorama Capital Managing Director Bring Additional Depth to Growing Company's Board

PALO ALTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/31/07 -- Tidal Software, a leading provider of integrated application scheduling and performance management software, today announced the appointment of Jim Green, CEO of Composite Software and former CTO of webMethods, and Shahan Soghikian, managing director of Panorama Capital to the Tidal Software Board of Directors.

Mr. Green is an industry luminary who is recognized not only for building successful technology companies, but also for being a driving force behind the standards and achievements that have shaped the entire industry.

"Few companies are undertaking the difficult work of delivering flexible, intuitive management solutions for the changing enterprise datacenter needs," said Mr. Green. "Enterprise computing needs Tidal's approach because although SOA makes possible the creation of rich, composite applications, it has introduced new complexities in managing them. Tidal offers a rich and practical solution which is targeting a significant and still growing market opportunity to service the distributed IT infrastructure."

Prior to Composite Software, Mr. Green served as webMethods' CTO and executive vice president of product development and still serves on webMethods' Board. Prior to webMethods, Mr. Green was CEO of Active Software, growing it from a start-up to an industry leader in Enterprise Application Integration software. After the merger with webMethods, he led the integration of the companies' product lines to create the industry's first comprehensive business integration platform.

Mr. Green is also recognized for leading the team that developed the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, an industry standard for distributed objects. An industry visionary, he has also achieved several industry firsts by developing networking and distributed computing products. He holds M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science.

Mr. Soghikian is an investment veteran known in the technology community for his ability to identify and support businesses at various stages in achieving their goals. Mr. Soghikian is a co-founder of Panorama Capital and focuses primarily on technology investments.

"IT is undergoing tremendous shifts as conventional solutions make way for new platforms and composite applications," said Mr. Soghikian. "Tidal is well positioned to capitalize on this changing environment through its innovative solutions. Panorama Capital is committed to Tidal's products, people, and promise because we see the growth opportunity and will provide our support in helping the company realize its potential."

Prior to co-founding Panorama Capital in 2006, Mr. Soghikian was a partner with JPMorgan Partners where he was head of the venture team. During his 17 years there he was responsible for numerous successful investments including Petco, Equant, Digital Island, ONI Systems, Seagate Technology, Kinkos, and Portal Player. Mr. Soghikian previously served as a member of the mergers and acquisitions group at both Bankers Trust, Inc. and Prudential-Bache Securities, Inc. Mr. Soghikian holds a B.A. from Pitzer College and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He currently serves on the board of directors of Narus, Inc., Tidal Software, Inc., Tagsys RFID, Squaretrade and Yipes, Inc. and is a trustee of Pitzer College.

"Jim's hands-on development and customer experience combined with his leadership acumen and keen sense of the market will help Tidal focus to deliver precisely what the market needs," said Flint Brenton, Tidal's CEO. "Shahan's market expertise and strong global business background will bring insight to guide Tidal in executing its strategy in ways that align with business trends and best practices. I am very pleased to have Jim and Shahan on Tidal's Board as we build Tidal for the next level of growth."
