The Linthicum Group Announces 'SOA Practitioner's Crash Course'
The course offers three days to SOA excellence
Jan. 11, 2007 12:30 AM
(SYS-CON Media) - David Linthicum, an internationally known application integration and service oriented architecture (SOA) expert, announced the availability of “SOA Practitioner’s Crash Course” – a three-day, custom-designed fast-paced seminar/workshop geared toward getting a corporate or government SOA team up-and-running in just three days.
“While many may understand the notion of SOA, very few have any idea how to get there, “states David Linthicum, CEO of The Linthicum Group, LLC, and author of this course. “Truth-be-told, there is no hard and fast rule as to how one builds an SOA in their organization. However, some common patterns are emerging that provide a step-by-step guide toward implementing an SOA, either in the fast track (revolutionary) or the slow track (evolutionary) – as long as you’re on the right track.”
The purpose of this seminar/workshop is to provide a step-by-step guide for those who design and build SOAs, designed for the particular organization’s needs. This seminar will walk the perspective SOA team through all of the logical steps, including defining key artifacts and providing examples of those artifacts (e.g., design documents). Moreover, it will look at the vast array of SOA technology currently on the market, and show how to make sense of it beyond the hype, selecting the right technology the first time. In essence, this seminar serves as a meta-methodology of sorts, taking the mystery and risk out of moving an organization to SOA.
