Qlusters, the provider of open source data-center provisioning and management software for physical and virtual environments, has announced the immediate availability of plug-ins that support FreeBSD, Solaris-x86 and Solaris-Sparc operating systems. These plug-ins expand openQRM's footprint and help IT professionals tasked with supporting heterogeneous data center environments while achieving a greater level of reliability, performance and manageability.

Until now, most systems management solutions have focused on supporting a limited number of operating systems. These new tested and supported plug-ins enable the openQRM platform to quickly and easily recognize and provision resources for FreeBSD and Solaris applications in addition to the existing support for Linux and Windows.

Additionally, these plug-ins provide:
