Much of his work with emerging and established companies focuses on equity and debt financing transactions, and on general corporate and business matters. Mr. Arie has developed deep expertise in assisting management teams in the process of scaling and accelerating the growth of their companies. Mr. Arie’s international experience extends to assisting early-stage and mature foreign companies operating in the U.S. to structure, form and conduct business operations, and assisting U.S. companies to structure, form and conduct business operations abroad. He is an industry leader in assisting Israeli startups with raising capital in the U.S., assisting U.S. investors in Israel, and representing Israeli and U.S. buyers and sellers in U.S.-Israel M&A transactions. Mr. Arie serves as a mentor and judge at the Harvard Business School Business Plan Competition, and is a frequent moderator and speaker at industry events. Mr. Arie is a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Israel Business Council.

Paul Sweeney practices in the areas of venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. He also represents top-tier venture capital firms in connection with their portfolio investments. Mr. Sweeney was recently listed as one of the “Top 20 Startup Lawyers in Boston,” and one of the “Ten Most Innovative Lawyers in America” by the ABA Journal. “For well over 40 years, Foley Hoag has been a leading law firm representing technology clients, from startup companies and their investors to large-cap public companies.
