AhnLab Named Finalist in Info Security Products Guide's Global Excellence Awards
AhnLab MDS and AhnLab V3 Click Recognized as Best New Product and Anti-Malware/Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- AhnLab (KOSDAQ: 053800), a leading provider of information security products and services for consumers and enterprise business environments, today announced that two of its security solutions are finalists for Info Security Products Guide's Global Excellence Awards. The Global Excellence Awards recognize security and IT vendors with advanced, groundbreaking products and solutions that raise the bar for other vendors in all areas of security and technologies. The winners will be announced on February 27 at an awards dinner in San Francisco.

AhnLab Malware Defense System (MDS), a finalist in the New Products category, is the only corporate security appliance that combines local and cloud-based analytics to stop Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) attacks anywhere across the organization. Combining cloud intelligence, advanced heuristics and multiple scan engines, among other techniques, stops Denial of Service (DDos) attacks, unidentified and previously unknown malware that other appliances on the network may miss. It delivers comprehensive threat protection, applying rapid malware recognition and remediation with real-time blocking of malicious network traffic and dynamic disruption of active security breaches. AhnLab MDS security protects endpoints, servers, networks and cloud resources. It simplifies security for both IT administrators and end users.

AhnLab V3 Click, a finalist for best "Anti-Malware, Anti-Spam, or Anti-Virus," is a unique, convenient, and easy to use anti-virus device that plugs into a USB port on a user's laptop or PC. It's portable, providing protection for whatever device it's plugged into. There are no complicated installations or subscriptions necessary. A light turns red when it detects a threat, the user clicks the device, and the V3 Click removes the threat and the light turns green. It includes a secure 2-port hub that scans any devices (such as a memory drive) the user connects it to and deletes or repairs any threats on the device.

"The bad guys are getting smarter and more dangerous on the Internet. Particularly with their efforts with Advanced Persistent Threats, other attacks to steal information from businesses, including customer IDs, and profit from cyber crime. We must be even smarter in protecting our customers against them," said Philip Kim, CEO, AhnLab.

"I applaud the skills and creativity of our team in developing AhnLab MDS to provide businesses with real-time protection against APTs and other threats. Also, for V3 Click, which gives home users portable protection at the press of a button, we are honored to be a finalist for these awards from Info Security Products Guide," said Kim.
