The Forrester report noted that Vordel’s product “has excellent capabilities in traffic routing and shaping, security and integration to back-end repositories…”. Furthermore the report points out that the recent acquisition of Vordel by Axway will only strengthen its ability to serve enterprise customers. This recognition is on foot of Vordel also being listed as a Leader by Forrester Research Inc as a Leader in the firm's report, "The Forrester WaveTM: SOA Application Gateways, Q4 2011" (November 2011).

Vordel API Server is an enterprise class unified API delivery platform for all types of APIs. Fortune 5,000 enterprises and government agencies around the world rely on Vordel to achieve a standardized API delivery to ensure the security, performance, and high availability of their mission critical applications. In the Forrester report, Vordel API Server received its highest Current Offering scores in the areas of access management, deployment model, availability and performance, reflecting Vordel’s commitment to deliver an enterprise class platform for the delivery and management of enterprise APIs. The recent combination of Axway's leadership in MFT, B2B and integration, with Vordel's leadership in API Management, SOA Governance and Identity management, will provide enterprises with a full suite to serve and govern all their integration patterns. The Axway/Vordel suite of offerings will change the dynamic of the enterprise edge, extending to cloud integration, with mobile access to legacy data, and innovative identity solutions. Central policy management will provide end-to-end visibility, from Cloud to on-premises, from B2B to API and from legacy to mobile.

“Forrester Wave on API Management Platforms has done a great job describing the different types of API management solutions available on the market today and that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Enterprises must find the solution that best serves their needs.” said Ed King, Vice President of Product Marketing at Vordel.

“Vordel is uniquely focused on enterprise APIs and enterprise customers, helping enterprises deliver new business capabilities via APIs by leveraging existing application, security and service oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructures.”
