Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Quorum Named a Finalist in Info Security Products Guide's Global Excellence Awards
Company's Hybrid Cloud Disaster Recovery Solution Recognized for Innovation in 'Best Deployments and Case Studies, USA' Category

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/07/13 -- Quorum®, the leading provider of one-click backup, recovery and continuity for small to mid-sized businesses, today announced that it has been named a finalist in Info Security Products Guide's 2013 Global Excellence Awards in the "Best Deployments and Case Studies, USA" category. Two compelling case studies were submitted for the award, each illustrating the significant time and cost savings achieved after deploying the Quorum Hybrid Cloud Disaster Recovery solution.

With its ability to provide one-click, instant recovery of data, applications and systems, the Quorum Hybrid Cloud Disaster Recovery solution easily meets the award criteria for groundbreaking technology. Quorum's innovation in disaster recovery technology was well-illustrated in two customer case studies submitted for the award: Quorum customer California Bankers Assoc. slashed recovery time from three days (using tape backup) to minutes using the Quorum Hybrid Cloud solution. Another customer, Alabama-based Reno Refractories, cited peace of mind knowing it, too, can recover instantly from any system downtime using Quorum. Using its previous solution -- disk-to-disk-to-tape backup -- meant system downtime could last as long as two to three months. The two case studies present compelling evidence that Quorum is revolutionizing the disaster recovery industry with advanced technology that spares small to mid-sized businesses from expensive system downtime.

"We are proud to have been lauded by Info Security Products Guide for our innovations in disaster recovery technology," said Larry Lang, CEO, Quorum. "This recognition reinforces our reputation as a pioneering leader in disaster recovery, as well as our dedication to delivering a simple, easy-to-use and deploy, and cost-effective solution that keeps small to mid-sized businesses always on."

Winners of the 2013 Global Excellence Awards will be announced on February 27 in San Francisco during the annual awards dinner and presentation. For a full list of the finalists, please click here.
