Devon IT to Feature Thin Clients, Software at TCEA 2013

Devon IT, Inc., a leading provider of thin client and VDI hardware and software solutions, today announced they will be demoing the latest Acer thin client as part of the Acer America exhibit at the TCEA13 (Texas Computer Education Association) show in booth #947. The event will be held at the Austin Convention Center with the exhibit hall open February 6-8, 2013.

“There’s no question that the virtual desktop market is growing in education, a trend that is fueled by the efforts of Acer America,” says Joe Makoid, President, Devon IT. “New, more powerful thin client technology like the Acer N2110G powered by Devon IT’s DeTOS and managed by Devon IT’s Echo thin client management software drives the opportunities for education IT administrators who need to do more with less. We are excited to share our ideas with other education technology leaders at TCEA13.”

The TCEA show, one of the largest educational technology conventions in the nation and the largest in Texas, brings together campus and district-level educators for a networking and learning experience that stimulate growth and innovation. Passionate teachers, campus and district leaders unite at this annual event to gather and share the latest trends and best practices for creating engaging classrooms that excite today’s active and inspired learners.

“Educators and administrators continue to evolve and commit resources to helping students learn through accessing advanced technology such as virtual and cloud-based platforms,” says Makoid. “Our goal with these events is to increase awareness of the benefits of Acer’s thin client series, from manageability and simplicity to easy deployment and management.”
