wassem wrote: Hi Tom I liked your article, you covered all the benefits of the thin client computing. In the article you mentioned the low power benefit, and mentioned the HP computer, as low cost solution, but I think that our product the Cubox that Costs 120$ and needs only 3 Watt of power could be another excellent solution.

2013 Negotiate Enterprise Communications Deals Conference Dates and Venues Announced by CCMI

CCMI today announced the dates and locations for the 2013 Negotiate Enterprise Communications Deals conference. The spring edition will be in the greater Washington, D.C. area at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National on April 29 – May 1. The fall edition is scheduled for Sept. 16-18, at the Omni San Diego Hotel in San Diego, Calif. The conference, now in its 21st year, is the leading event for enterprise communication professionals who need advice on network service and IT procurements and contract negotiations for domestic and global operations.

Hank Levine, partner at Levine, Blaszak, Block & Boothby, LLP, a Washington, DC-based firm that specializes in representing large enterprise users, and the long-standing conference chairman, notes “These procurements and negotiations are complex, critical, and oftentimes contentious, and they come with significant financial, operational, and technical risks and rewards.” He added, “When you factor in the increasingly IT-centric nature of communications services and a bewildering array of established vendors – new and old – the need for practical, real-world advice is clear. The conference speakers have decades of experience with these multi-million dollar decisions, and that translates into invaluable advice for the attendees.”

CCMI’s George David said, “In 2013, more than ever before, enterprises must take an especially hard short- and long-term view of their mix of services and suppliers because legacy telecom vendors want to accelerate their move away from traditional TDM services in favor of internet based services.” He added, “It is critical that enterprise IT and procurement professionals understand the carrier’s strategies to accomplish this so that their enterprises’ communications services and networks move on their schedule, not the carriers’ schedules. Attending Negotiate Enterprise Communications Deals is the ideal and most practical way to quickly gain this knowledge.”

The Negotiate Enterprise Communications Deals program features 11 general sessions; six specialty breakouts, where attendees can take an in-depth look at the hottest telecom topics; and a recently added half-day workshop, "How to Source Converged IT and Telecom Services," that introduces telecom professionals to the arrival of converged telecom and IT services. Attendees of the conference are eligible for continuing education hours (CEH) from the Institute for Supply Management.
