The Rainmaker TRUSTe certification is based on a series of qualifications under specific categories, including a consent mechanism for sharing personally identifiable information, an unsubscribe function in marketing and promotional emails, web site security including Secured Socket Layers (SSLs), ongoing compliance monitoring verifying adherence to program requirements, a Watchdog Dispute Resolution Process with procedures in place for handling privacy related complaints, and a full-disclosure privacy statement.
