Canadian Fitness Guru Tommy Europe to Headline Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation's Bust a Move Ottawa on March 2, 2013

OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/13 -- Bust a Move and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation today announced that Canadian fitness guru, Tommy Europe has signed on as the celebrity fitness instructor for the March 2nd event at the Ottawa Athletic Club.

Europe replaces American actress/comedienne Jenny McCarthy. Following in the shoes of last year's celebrity guest, Richard Simmons, Tommy Europe will join the team at the Ottawa Athletic Club for this day of fun and fitness, which raises hundreds of thousands of dollars every year for women's breast health and cancer care in the local community.

Since Tuesday's announcement of the celebrity fitness instructor for the Bust a Move Ottawa, attention has shifted away from breast cancer awareness and fundraising.

"We are proud to work very closely with our partners in the medical community and the general public to raise funds and awareness for cancer care in our community. As always, our objective and responsibility is to the cancer survivors in our community and keeping the spotlight on our cause," says Linda Eagen, President and CEO of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. "On March 2nd, together with hundreds of men and women, we'll be celebrating an amazing event and we are thrilled that Tommy Europe will join us for Bust a Move Ottawa. "We know that this year's event will continue our tradition of fundraising successes that will help thousands of local cancer patients and their families."

Best known as host of, "The Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp," "Bulging Brides" and "Tommy Europe Fitness", Tommy is the country's most sought-after fitness coach. Tommy will join hundreds of participants as they "bust a move" during back-to-back expert-led fitness routines including the "Great Canadian" Kitchen Party with Tracy Cipryk; Dance Revolution (Zumba) with Gina Adams; Feel the Flow (Yoga) with Donna Davis; "BaM" (Kickboxing) Boxing Athletic Movement with Heather-Ann Bratty; and Urban Dance with Momentum Moves Canada.

Tommy will lead the BaM group through his SHRED boot camp - a challenging cardio workout based on his online fitness video program released in 2012, "Shred Bootcamp: 4 weeks to the new you".

Sponsorship dollars cover the costs of hosting the event, ensuring that 100% of what participants raise goes directly to the cause. Together we have already raised more than $114,000. It is not too late to get involved. Join the team at Bust a Move Ottawa on March 2nd by registering online at www.ottawacancer.ca or by making a donation online to help support this amazing event.

In September 2010, he was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame with the BC Lions team. In 2011, he released his first book "The 10 Pound Shred - From Flab to fit in Four weeks".
