Sidera Expands Its Chicago-Area Network to the Region's Largest Data Center Park in Elk Grove, IL
Connectivity Extends Sidera's Low Latency Network to Three Elk Grove Village Data Centers

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 01/30/13 -- Sidera Networks, the leading provider of tailored, high-capacity communications services to large enterprise, carrier and data center customers, announces the extension of its network to the area's largest data center park in Elk Grove, IL. Sidera will offer dark fiber and lit services from 100MB to 100GB on this newly constructed route between Chicago and three different data centers located in Elk Grove Village.

The Chicago-metro market serves as a major financial and content hub centrally located between the East and West coasts of the United States. Data centers in Aurora, Wood Dale, and Elk Grove serve large enterprises, financial institutions and media organizations that require high-capacity bandwidth, ultra-low latency and diverse connectivity. Sidera's newly expanded network route traverses north from Chicago to deliver dedicated fiber to three data centers located within a one-mile radius in Elk Grove. In addition, Sidera will soon connect Elk Grove, IL to Aurora, IL to complete a ring from Chicago to Elk Grove, down to Aurora and back to Chicago. (See link for Chicago metro map: http://www.sidera.net/network-solutions/cloud-data-center-connectivity/chicago-metro/).

"This expansion enhances Sidera's network capabilities within the Chicago-metro market to deliver unparalleled high-performance connectivity not just to Chicago and Aurora, where we have network today, but also to data center parks such as Elk Grove and Wood Dale," comments Clint Heiden, President of Sidera Networks. "This is an important market, not just for financial services, but also for content, Cloud, and media because of its central location between the US coasts." Heiden continues, "This announcement reiterates our commitment to connect the most data centers throughout our network footprint."

Sidera's network between Chicago and Elk Grove delivers newly constructed, high-capacity connectivity to the largest consolidated business park in North America and interconnects three major data center facilities including Equinix (CH3), DuPont Fabros Technology (CH1), and Savvis (CH3). Dark fiber and lit services from 100MB to 100GB are currently available. Additional network connectivity to data centers in Wood Dale is planned.
