SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/30/13 -- AtHoc, Inc. (www.athoc.com), the pioneer and leader in emergency mass notification and crisis communication, today announced that U.S. Army Garrison Ft. McCoy has deployed AtHoc IWSAlerts to ensure emergency communications and protection of assigned personnel, civilians and their families. This AtHoc implementation is fully integrated with Ft. McCoy's IP and telephony infrastructure, reducing internal IT costs for the garrison while simplifying system administration and expediting time-to-installation. AtHoc's unified emergency communications system, which currently protects nearly 2 million U.S. Armed Forces personnel worldwide, features a centralized web console for streamlined alert management across an array of technologies and devices including desktop pop-up alerts, telephone, email, giant voice/PA system, and other IP-based devices installed on the base. By leveraging Ft. McCoy's existing IT systems and communication capabilities, the fully integrated deployment ensures rapid, reliable, and scalable alerting and notifications to all affected personnel. "The vast majority of Department of Defense (DoD) units around the world have selected and deployed the AtHoc platform to fulfill military requirements for force protection, recall, critical communications and personnel accountability," said Army Col. (Ret.) David Brown, Director of Army Operations for AtHoc. "Our clear market leadership in delivering emergency communications capabilities to the federal government and all branches of the U.S. Armed Services, along with our deep understanding of each organization's unique requirements, have made AtHoc the U.S. military's most trusted partner for emergency mass notification and emergency communication." AtHoc IWSAlerts provides Ft. McCoy Full Operational Capability (FOC) of an emergency mass notification system (EMNS) that satisfies the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) requirements, well before the required 2014 deadline. Its unique multi-channel communications capability meets the DoDi 6055.18 mandatory requirements for an installation emergency notification that reaches all personnel within 10 minutes or less. AtHoc IWSAlerts is the only EMNS solution on the DISA Approved Product List (DISA APL) with the Army's enterprise-wide Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) and Authority to Operate (AtO). With the addition of Ft. McCoy, which supports annual training of reserve and active military personnel from all branches of the armed forces, the U.S. Army continues its deployment of AtHoc's mission-proven, scalable, and secure EMNS, protecting Army personnel at installations and organizations around the world. AtHoc's incomparable understanding of DoD environments and commitment to meeting its requirements have resulted in highly cost- and time-efficient implementations throughout the DoD, the DHS, and key federal agencies.
