CHR Introduces New Infrastructure Engineering Leadership Team

CHR Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of engineering, managed services, BSS/OSS and cloud technology to communications service providers (CSPs), today announced the introduction of a new engineering leadership team, leveraging more than 100 years of combined industry experience. The company’s engineers are licensed in 48 states, have assisted in the engineering, design and construction of more than 60 FTTP statewide and regional fiber network projects, one of the first five 4G LTE networks in the nation and have laid more than 50,000 miles of lit fiber over the last five years. With the addition of these new leaders, the company will continue to build upon its leading market position with Tier 1, 2 and 3 CSPs.

“We are thrilled with the caliber of excellence in the team we have assembled. This new leadership has the talent and experience to help our clients succeed in the design, build and management of their legacy and next-gen networks,” said Sean Fitzsimmons, Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Services Business Unit at CHR Solutions. “We sought out the very best in the business to continue our seventy-five year legacy of rural telco network engineering and the commitment we have to our Tier 3 clients. In addition, we brought on highly respected and acknowledged leaders to continue our growth into the Tier 1 and 2 markets, as well.”

With more than 15 years at CHR Solutions, Sam Harlan, Vice President of Engineering, is responsible for engineering design, plans and specifications, contracts and implementation of projects. This includes wireless design, electronic equipment designs, RUS Loan Designs and coordination with RUS to receive funding for both traditional and broadband loans. He is also responsible for the staff of Professional Engineers who perform design, consultation, quality control and client satisfaction.

James Kovaly brings more than 25 years of network engineering and technical sales development experience to CHR Solutions, including former leadership positions in systems engineering, network consulting, systems engineering management, technical sales operations, and IPTV solution development. Kovaly spent 15 years at Cisco Systems, beginning in 1996 and going on to lead a team of more than 30 systems and consulting engineers driving technical sales of networking products, solutions and services in the tier 2 and 3 service provider segment. He also held the position of Sr. Account Manager at CCI Systems, responsible for sales and business development among tier 2 & 3 telephone and cable providers.

As Principal Business Consultant for CHR Solutions, Patrick Sims is responsible for the development strategies of end-to-end technical solutions in FTTH, wireless development, and smart grid technologies in the access communications markets. Sims primary roles are to define the technical development strategy in access technologies, lead the technical direction for new product introduction, and ensure the sustainable development of the technical direction. His 35-year experience includes management roles at xDSL and Tyco Electronics and he is one of the co-founders and past member of the Board of Directors for the North American Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council.

A seasoned executive with more than seventeen years of global experience in operations, strategy and business development, Michael Beecher serves as Senior Vice President, Engineering & Systems Integration, in the Infrastructure business group.
