Actix Announces 100th LTE Customer

Over 100 of the world’s mobile operators, network equipment providers, outsourcers and handset/chipset manufacturers now rely on Actix for the rollout of LTE. The milestone sees Actix with approximately 50 per cent share of the LTE rollout acceptance market.

The Actix LTE Network Acceptance solution already supports all LTE operators in North America and the three major operators in Japan. Rising demand from the second wave of rollouts in Europe has driven more recent orders, as countries including the UK, Germany and France look to Actix to help launch next generation networks.

Actix LTE Network Acceptance enables mobile operators to minimize the substantial risks involved in LTE rollout and ensure day-one network quality. The solution independently verifies the performance of LTE networks prior to launch by enforcing transparent and unambiguous KPIs, giving operators complete visibility and control of the rollout process.

Full optimization capabilities allow any issues identified during the LTE rollout process to be addressed quickly, while automation of the network acceptance process ensures effective management of cost and complexity. As a result, operators can avoid issues that lead to low service uptake, high levels of customer dissatisfaction, increased post-launch optimization costs and a reputation for poor network quality.

Bill McHale, CEO of Actix, comments: “With ROI for LTE networks dependent on an on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery, rollout can be a high-risk activity for operators. Subscriber expectations are high and operators must get it right first time, so the network acceptance process is critical to ensure the deployed network equipment meets performance targets prior to launch.

“Actix plays a pivotal role in the LTE ecosystem, by providing the independent view of network performance that all parties can trust. Through working with everyone from mobile operators to chipset manufacturers Actix understands the key challenges and the potential pitfalls of rollout and has developed the most effective solution for ensuring LTE success.”

The Actix LTE Network Acceptance solution is available in a single-user desktop version or as a multi-user hosted cloud, allowing hundreds of stakeholders both within the operator and third party organisations to access the same data. The solution was recognised at the LTE World Summit 2012, winning the ‘best test /measurement LTE product’ category.
