PM Pediatrics Continues Expansion With New After Hours Urgent Care Practice In North Babylon, NY

-- Leading Pediatrics Urgent Care Provider To Launch Sixth Location In Spring 2013 --

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PM Pediatrics, an award-winning provider of after-hours pediatric urgent care, today announced the launch of its newest location in North Babylon, New York.  The 7,200 square foot practice is located at 1130 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon, NY and is scheduled to open in early Spring of 2013.  This new office marks the company's sixth site and its third Long Island, NY location, which will serve patients, newborn through college.  Dr. Faiz Ahmad, currently the Medical Director at the company's Selden, NY office, will also serve as Medical Director in North Babylon, overseeing all medical operations for the practice.

PM Pediatrics of North Babylon will join PM Pediatrics' other successful practices on Long Island (Syosset and Selden), in Westchester (Mamaroneck), Queens (Bayside) and Livingston, NJ.  All locations provide walk-in urgent care, 365 days a year. They are open weekdays from 5pm - 12am (4pm - 11pm in NJ) and weekends and holidays from 12pm - 12am (11am - 11pm in NJ).

"PM Pediatrics is a proven top choice and trusted alternative to an emergency room and we are pleased to be able to broaden our accessibility," said Dr. Jeffrey Schor, founder of PM Pediatrics.  "Dr. Ahmad is an invaluable leader, helping to grow PM Pediatrics Selden to over 25,000 patient visits in 2012.  His expertise as a pediatric emergency physician, medical director and award-winning educator will be integral to the success of North Babylon."

"I look forward to getting to know the families in the community and providing them with premium healthcare delivered by a dedicated team of pediatric emergency specialists," said Dr. Faiz Ahmad, Medical Director for PM Pediatrics Selden and North Babylon.

Every PM Pediatrics practice is staffed by Pediatric Emergency Specialists who provide specialized care and treatment for a broad array of illnesses and injuries including asthma, fever and other infections, dehydration, sprains and fractures, wounds requiring stitches and much more. This model of care, comfort and convenience has been enthusiastically received by patients who have visited a location over 325,000 times since the first site opened in Syosset.  Each office has on-site digital x-ray producing high resolution images that are easily sent to a patient's primary care physician via CD-ROM or electronically.  Each location also features a comprehensive laboratory which is capable of performing rapid blood, urine and chemistry workups.  PM Pediatrics takes special care to send each patient's medical record to their primary care provider the day of their visit, ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care.  Each practice also has access to specialists such as plastic surgeons or orthopedists, as needed.

The distinctly designed practices, which showcase jungle, seaside, Medieval Times, and Main Street USA themes and have TVs in every room, create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and their families.  All PM Pediatrics offices are conveniently located and uniquely themed, providing caregivers and children with a healthcare experience that is unlike any other.
