SeaChange Receives Emmy® Award for Innovation in Television Technology

SeaChange International (Nasdaq: SEAC), a leading global multi-screen video software innovator, was awarded a Technology & Engineering Emmy® award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) at this week’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

SeaChange won for the “Development and Commercialization for Digital Infrastructure for Local Cable Ad Insertion.” The Company’s early video technologies automated multichannel advertising delivery, helping the cable television industry to grow locally inserted advertising into a multi-billion dollar business. Chief Executive Officer Raghu Rau and members of SeaChange’s advertising product team accepted the iconic Emmy statuette during the 64th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony last night.

“It’s truly an honor to bring home the prestigious Emmy to SeaChange,” said Rau. “We’re thrilled to be recognized for innovation in advertising. With our continued investments in multi-screen, multi-experience, addressable, targeted and coordinated advertising, I envisage the day when consumers will fast-forward through recorded content to view their personalized ads."

SeaChange won its first Emmy in 2001 for pioneering developments in shared video data storage systems. The Company earned its second Emmy in 2004 for development, productization and commercialization of technologies leading to large scale deployment of video-on-demand television.

Through today at CES booth 14846 (Central Hall) SeaChange is demonstrating its Infusion advanced advertising platform, which empowers video service providers to monetize services on iPads, TVs and other devices.
