NuoDB Expands Executive Team to Accelerate Company's Growing Market Momentum
Four Executives With Proven Track Records Join as NuoDB Becomes Generally Available

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/08/13 -- Continuing its aggressive push to the general availability of the industry's only elastically scalable Cloud Data Management System (CDMS), NuoDB, Inc. today announced the addition of four executives to its management team: Greg Fegan, vice president of business development; Steve Green, vice president of sales; Ashish Mohindroo, vice president of marketing; and John Wagner, chief financial officer. The new executives join Founder and CEO Barry Morris, and Vice President of Engineering Adam Abrevaya. Jim Starkey, NuoDB founder and chief technology officer, is assuming an ongoing advisory role.

"With a week to go before our CDMS is generally available, we are witnessing tremendous interest from the market for us to demonstrate NuoDB truly does what we say it does -- scales effortlessly in the cloud without compromising any of the features of relational databases," said Morris. "Each of our new executives is a seasoned, industry veteran with experience capitalizing on the kind of momentum that is building for NuoDB, and together they are an excellent complement to the top-notch VCs who have helped us get to this point."

Fegan is an accomplished technology veteran with 25 years of operational, profit and loss experience in business development and sales leadership roles for high-growth software companies. He has successfully designed and executed systematic growth models for start-ups as well as global industry leaders.

For the last six years, Fegan served as an advisor to Fortune 500 executives, boards of publicly- and privately-held companies and venture-backed senior management teams. Prior to that, Fegan held the role of vice president of North American sales and operations for GoldenGate Software, Inc., where he built the company's first commercial sales team. He's also held senior management positions at Inktomi, Netscape, Sybase and Oracle.

Green has been a passionate advocate for enabling customer success throughout his 22-year career in technology. He spent the past seven years in sales leadership at Brightcove, a cloud content services provider, where he created the initial demand generation driven sales model, scaled the field sales organization and helped grow the company through their initial public offering in early 2012 and its first quarters as a public company.

Prior to Brightcove, Green was with DataPower (since acquired by IBM), where he scaled the inbound sales team and process, and brought on key customers. Green has also held a variety of sales roles with Ping Identity, Imprivata and Allaire Corporation (acquired by Macromedia, now Adobe).

Mohindroo is a Marketing Executive with 17+ years of experience in building successful organizations and growing niche offerings into multi-million dollar businesses. His experience spans from driving success at innovative startups to large Enterprises that include Oracle, Symantec and Salesforce.com. He joined NuoDB after being a consultant/advisor to the Salesforce Platform Marketing team and helped drive their Go-To-Market Strategy for the Cloud Application Platform.

Prior to Salesforce, he was the global head for Product Marketing & Strategy for Symantec's Enterprise Security and Mobile Business.

Wagner has nearly 20 years of experience in financial management for various technology companies, focused on facilitating the growth of emerging companies. He most recently served as vice president of finance for Carbonite, where he played a key role in the cloud backup provider's 2011 initial public offering and subsequent transition to a public company.

Prior to Carbonite, Wagner served as controller of Constant Contact, and led its financial operations and accounting team during the company's dramatic revenue growth from $20 to $220 million and its 2007 initial public offering. Wagner also served as chief financial officer at Salesnet through its sale to RightNow Technologies and held finance and accounting roles at Mirror Image Internet and Arthur Andersen.

NuoDB will host a live webcast event at 11 a.m. EST on January 15 to mark the general availability of its CDMS. Interested parties may register for the webcast at this link: http://go.nuodb.com/cdms-2013-register.html.
