Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. Kathleen Connolly Chosen to Lead New Era in Sales

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today  UBM Tech announces the appointment of Kathleen Connolly as Executive Vice President of Sales leading the Business Technology Events Group portfolio of B-to-B tech events including 4G World, Cloud Connect, E2, Enterprise Connect, GTEC, HDI, Interop, Mobile Commerce World, Online Marketing Summit, TelcoVision and Tower Summit. As Executive Vice President of Sales, Kathleen Connolly will be responsible for driving revenue, customer engagement and improved ROI for the Business Technology Events group.  Connolly comes to the position with 25 years of sales and management experience in IT media, events, content syndication services, call-center and demand generation services, with 19 of those years spent with UBM (originally with CMP).  Most recently, Connolly was Vice President of Sales at UBM Studios selling interactive digital environments in markets outside of UBM with businesses like MaryKay Cosmetics and JCI. She also worked closely with the sales teams in UBM Channel and UBM Electronics to drive Virtual events and DuesM community and university products.

Prior to joining Studios, Connolly spent 10 years in the UBM Channel group where she worked with many of the larger strategic accounts like Cisco, Juniper, Oracle and others. She began her career at UBM in CMP's TechWeb group and held both sales and management positions at InformationWeek, Network Computing, and other IT media brands.
