$1 Million Powerball(R) Second Prize Winning Ticket Sold in Fountain Hills
Another Fountain Hills Retailer Claims a Powerball Top Prize

PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 01/07/13 -- The Arizona Lottery announces that a $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket was sold in Fountain Hills for the draw on Saturday, January 5. This comes on the heels of the record-breaking $587.5 million Powerball jackpot winning ticket being sold at the 4 Sons Food Store also in Fountain Hills, and claimed by a Fountain Hills resident one month earlier on December 7, 2012.

The $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Circle K located at 17125 E. Shea Blvd. in Fountain Hills. The winning numbers are 26 - 30 - 49 - 51 - 54 PB 25.

"We are thrilled that Arizona has claimed another second prize Powerball win and it is even more exciting that another big winning ticket was sold in Fountain Hills," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We look forward to meeting the winner and presenting them with their check."

This is the sixteenth $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona since $2 Powerball launched in January 2012.

$2 Powerball offers many appealing features to players, including better overall odds and jackpots that grow bigger, faster. The starting jackpot doubled from $20 million to $40 million and the second prize for matching all five numbers, without the Powerball, increased from $200,000 to $1 million.

Players can check their winning numbers by visiting ArizonaLottery.com.

Arizona Lottery players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Overall odds vary by game. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, these materials may be made available in an alternate format. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-NEXT STEP. Please Play Responsibly™.
