EnGenius Technologies Optimizes Networked Home Entertainment Applications with Next-Generation High-Performance Wireless Networking Solutions for Consumers

EnGenius® Technologies, Inc., the leader in long-range Wireless-N networking solutions for homes and businesses, today announced a comprehensive new line of consumer wireless networking solutions designed to optimize the performance of network-connected home entertainment devices. EnGenius’ new Wireless AC Home Entertainment and Media Pods will debut this week at ShowStoppers @ CES on Jan. 8, 2013, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Wynn Hotel’s Lafite Ballroom.

At the core of EnGenius’ Wireless AC Home Entertainment and Media Pods is the new EnGenius Cloud Services for Home which creates an entire home ecosystem enabling consumers to remotely monitor and manage the devices (whether EnGenius-branded or third-party branded) in their home networks from any computer or via an app on smart phones and tablets. In addition to security features that include remote monitoring the websites visited on the network and real-time blocking of home network intruders, the service also provides consumers with the ability to remotely access media files stored on USB hard drives connected to the Home Entertainment or Media Pods from their mobile devices or laptop computers via an Internet connection.

EnGenius’ flagship consumer products are the new Wireless AC Cloud Home Entertainment Pods, which feature an award-winning design and leverage an internal antenna array with Quantum-Beam for maximum coverage. Available in Q1 2013, these ultra-compact devices incorporate a wireless dual-band 802.11ac router, four-port Gigabit switch, USB port and media streaming platform. The Wireless AC Media Pod incorporates a four-port Gigabit LAN switch and can deliver speeds in excess of wired Gigabit when paired with the Wireless AC Home Entertainment Pod or other branded 802.11ac router. The EnGenius Wireless AC Media Pod will be available in Q1 2013:

  • ERB1300 Wireless AC Media Pod (Dual-Band 300/1299 Mbps Media Bridge/AP with Gigabit Ports) - $179.99 MSRP
