Morega Powers Video Streaming for TP Vision Smart TV Series

Morega Systems, a proven provider of media mobility solutions for worldwide service providers and consumer electronics companies, today announced that TP Vision, a developer, manufacturer and marketer of Philips branded TV sets, has deployed Morega’s software to power the new TP Vision Smart TV ”Wi-Fi smart screen” feature. With the help of Morega, TP Vision customers can stream television content from their Smart TV to any iOS device within the home by simply downloading an iOS app at Philips MyRemote App . Morega enables TP Vision Smart TV users to view displayed content across multiple devices. Attendees of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) can view Morega’s solutions in action at the Venetian.

Morega media mobility starts with in-home broadband subscription television and extends that experience to new devices in new locations. The solution transfers media content for consumption to any IP-enabled device, including game consoles, tablets, iPhones, etc., allowing users to easily access their media content anytime, anywhere. Morega’s comprehensive software ecosystem offers both server-side and client-side implementation options, flexible transcoding, and back-office components for provisioning, authentication, security management, and capturing analytics. By leveraging the existing broadband capacity to the home, Morega offers the fastest and most cost-effective approach to implementing secure, multi-screen media delivery.

"As consumers begin to move beyond the television and onto mobile devices, TV providers have to support new demands for content on numerous platforms,” said Buddy Snow, CEO, Morega Systems. “We’re thrilled to enable TP Vision, one of the largest consumer electronics companies in the world and a leading provider of Smart TVs, to implement secure multi-screen media delivery that allows their customers to enjoy optimal viewing experiences on their favorite screens when and where they want.”

About Morega Systems

Morega Systems (www.morega.com) is a proven provider of secure media mobility software solutions that give service providers and consumer electronics manufacturers a better way to wirelessly deliver valuable premium and personal media to any consumption device, regardless of location. Morega creates a high-performance media ecosystem by putting firmware in the media source box (such as an IP gateway device), software in the client consumption devices, and servers in the cloud. Working closely with the conditional access and DRM systems, Morega ensures that media is securely delivered via adaptive streaming or high-speed file transfer. Morega’s analytics and statistics server tracks media consumption on client devices while respecting consumer privacy, thus enabling ideally targeted advertising just before delivery on personal devices.
