During her tenure at McAfee, Inc., Bergeron held a wide range of executive leadership positions in sales, research and development, and corporate development. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Georgia State University and an M.B.A. from Xavier University.

Prior to joining Equinix in April 2007, Smith served as Senior Vice President at HP Services, a business segment of Hewlett-Packard Co., from January 2005 to October 2006.
