CiiNOW, Inc. Announces Partnership with Metaboli

CiiNOW, Inc., a leader in Cloud Gaming technology and branded gaming platforms, today announced a strategic partnership with Metaboli, Europe’s leading distributor of video games for download, to enable instantaneous streaming of premier game content to Metaboli’s members. By leveraging CiiNOW’s proprietary ‘Cumulus’ video game streaming technology, Metaboli can now offer its customers instant gaming access to a library of console-class titles beyond the PC to include Macs, set-top boxes, tablets, Smart TVs, and mobile devices. The games will be delivered to virtually any device with a screen and powered by CiiNOW’s cloud-based technology, enabling game enthusiasts to enjoy games instantly, without waiting for downloads or software installations. The joint service will launch with select games and under the Metaboli brand, ‘GameTap Club’, in France in Q1 2013 before expanding into other countries later in the year.

“The CiiNOW technology platform, Cumulus, moves the gaming industry beyond the era of cumbersome downloads and expensive software upgrades in order for gamers to enjoy a great experience,” said Ron Haberman, CEO, CiiNOW, Inc. “Like us, Metaboli recognizes that gaming via the Cloud is the future, and we are thrilled to be aligned in our joint mission of delivering the best, most immersive gaming experience to their large base of subscribers.”

Leveraging CiiNOW’s streaming technology, Metaboli’s GameTap Club will be offered as a member subscription service featuring a variety of content and specialty services including unlimited access to a catalogue of games to download or immediately launch, significant permanent discounts on all new releases, as well as a ‘cash back’ program for members who want to buy computers, tablets, consoles, or accessories.

“We are firm believers that video games, much like music and film, can be distributed in a way that delivers a much richer, more stimulating gaming experience than what is currently available today,” said Pierre Forest, CEO of Metaboli. “By matrixing our catalogue of games with CiiNOW’s brandable, scalable cloud-based gaming technology, we can now offer game publishers and service providers with a tremendous service offering which is not limited to one genre of games, one business model or one device only.”
