Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Justin F. Deedy, Jr. to be Named President and CEO of Superior Essex, Stephen M. Carter Announces his Retirement

Superior Essex announced December 10th that Justin F. Deedy is to become President and CEO of Superior Essex, effective March 1, 2013 and that Stephen Carter will be retiring from his current role. While he will be retiring from the Company in the capacity of CEO, Carter will stay on as an Executive Advisor to the Superior Essex Board and LS Cable and System.

Christopher Koo, Chairman of LS Cable and System said with Stephen’s retirement, “We are pleased to be able to appoint an internal successor, Justin Deedy, to the CEO role.”

Deedy was named Chief Operating Officer for Superior Essex Inc. in October of 2011. Since that time, he has been responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the Company. “Justin possesses the critical breadth of operational and business expertise, gained throughout his 25 plus years in the cable and wire industry. He has been a key contributor in every aspect of our business, from general operations to raising capital and assessing and pursuing mergers and acquisitions and we are looking forward to embarking on this new chapter with him,” Koo said.

Carter joined Superior Essex in 2003 and has transformed the company during his tenure into a worldwide leader in the wire and cable industry. In 2004 SPSX gained a listing on the NASDAQ and went on to become a Fortune 750 international organization with businesses operating in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2008, LS Cable and System acquired all the shares of the Company.

He currently serves on the Board of NYSE listed CEB, the leading member-based advisory company, as well as acting as the Lead Director and Vice Chair of the International Board of the Special Olympics, and being one of the Trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center of Atlanta.

Koo went on to say, “Stephen has set a vision for the future that will allow this Company to thrive far beyond his tenure. We are grateful for Stephen’s vision and leadership during the past 9 years. Not only has Stephen been a tremendous asset for Superior Essex, but his leadership has also been exemplary. We look forward to our continuing partnerships as Stephen transitions to the role of Executive Advisor.”

Between now and March 2013, Carter will focus on transitioning the CEO role to Deedy.
