Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Lineup Systems, the provider of the media industry's only fully web-based multi-channel advertising and CRM systems, launched the subscription based advertising tools at the end of October, attracting widespread interest at the international publishing trade show IFRA Expo.

This week the Hackney Citizen's SaaS Solution went live, delivering on-demand, cloud-based advertising CRM, Booking and Finance management to the London local title.

The Hackney Citizen is the London borough's independent, free monthly newspaper with an estimated readership of 30,000. It has a strong growth plan and in July 2010 increased from its quarterly print editions to a monthly publication, with advertising revenue at the core of its expansion.

Lineup SaaS Solutions is a complete advertising solution which adapts to the type, scale and complexity of the media customer. Customers can visit http://saas.lineup.com and sign up online for instant account creation. The integrated modules include:

  • CRM, which promotes best practice in sales pipeline management specifically for media companies.
  • Booking, which includes comprehensive cross-channel ad booking with an intuitive web-based interface.
  • Finance, which comprises a fully integrated credit control, invoicing and cash management system.

Lineup CEO Michael Mendoza says "We are really pleased with the go-live of the SaaS Solution. Hackney Citizen have embraced the concept and proved to be ideal candidates for this model, which is designed to deliver high performance with maximum flexibility and agility for growing media companies who rely on advertising revenue".

Keith Magnum, Managing Director of Hackney Citizen comments "Lineup's Saas Solution is the right combination of high quality system design made accessible, affordable, speedy and adaptable for growing titles like Hackney Citizen. It's going to help support and enhance our continuing advertising business growth."
