2013 Holiday and Moon Phase Schedules for Microsoft Outlook

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Calendar Updates, LLC has announced the release of their 2013 Holiday and Moon Phase Schedules for Microsoft Outlook.  The schedules are compatible with all versions of Outlook and are available at the company's website at www.calendar-updates.com.

New for 2013, the U.S. Holiday Schedules now identify federal holidays when banks, schools, and government offices may be closed.  They also let you know if the American stock markets are closed for the holiday.  Since the stock markets do not close on every federal holiday, but do close on some non-federal holidays, having this information right on your Outlook calendar can avoid a lot of confusion.

According to company spokesman, Greg Titamer, "Our U.S. Holiday Schedule has always included patriotic information on how to display the American flag for the holiday.  Adding federal holiday and stock market information to our schedule was a natural extension of our services."

The 2013 Moon Phase Schedule has also been improved by adding pre- and post-phase information such as what a waxing gibbous moon is or where to find the moon in the night sky.  As always, the schedules are formatted for specific time zones and include the exact time the moon phase will occur.

By supporting individual time zones, Calendar Updates provides a more accurate schedule than what is shown on a typical wall calendar.  For example, a full moon occurring at 1:30 AM EST in New York would occur one day earlier at 10:30 PM PST in Los Angeles.  The schedules provided by Calendar Updates reflect this variance.

Calendar Updates provides national holiday schedules for the United States and Canada, religious holy day schedules for Catholic, Christian, and Jewish denominations, and moon phase and eclipse schedules.  They also provide many popular sport team schedules which include television and radio broadcast information.  For more information visit www.calendar-updates.com.
