Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Airclic Recognized as Leading Food Distribution Technology Provider for Second Straight Year by Food Logistics

Airclic, a global provider of cloud-based software that transforms the accuracy, efficiency and competitiveness of mobile supply chain and logistics operations, announced that it has been named in the FL100 for the second straight year by Food Logistics, the only publication dedicated exclusively to the food and beverage supply chain.

Airclic was recognized for Food Perform®, a cloud-based mobile food distribution solution that eliminates paper and paper processes across every step of the food distribution process, reducing overages, shortages and damages (OS&D) while lowering customer service costs.

“The bottom line can be dramatically impacted by inaccurate orders that need to be reconciled as exceptions, credits or re-deliveries,” said Mike Lee, CEO of Airclic. “In today’s economy, food services companies cannot afford this waste of time and precious resources. Food Perform has helped companies make sustainable, long-term operational improvements in this area – and it is excellent to be recognized for that success.”

Food Perform’s features include:

  • Eliminate paperwork and data entry errors in the field, enabling efficient and consistent workflow
  • Reconcile OS&Ds on site, preventing drivers from having to report variances on paper
  • Create clean invoices in real-time, via electronic manifests, barcode scanning and printing on-demand receipts in-the-field
  • Process payments at any delivery point, improving invoice and payment cycles
  • Up-to-the-minute delivery status available to all stakeholders
  • Send new or updated jobs to a driver, wherever they are, within seconds
  • Barcode scanning to ensure that the correct products get loaded, unloaded and delivered

Food Logistics annually recognizes 100 providers that help food and beverage manufacturers, distributors and grocery retailers attain their business goals. The FL100 is comprised of software, equipment and technology companies whose products and services play a significant role in food and beverage supply chains.

This year’s listing can be found at: http://www.foodlogistics.com/article/10837645/the-2012-fl100
