iCore Networks Announces Expansion of its Executive Management Team

iCore Networks, the nation’s largest commercial Voice over Private Internet (VoPI) network and pioneer of cloud-based services, announces today that it has appointed a new Executive Vice President of Finance, Eduardo Sanchez, to ensure effective management and profitability of the company’s financial operations.

In his new role at iCore, Mr. Sanchez will oversee iCore’s product and market expansion from a financial operations standpoint. Mr. Sanchez will also focus on iCore’s operational and organizational strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and performance, contracts/legal issues, investment banking relationships, and investor relations. Mr. Sanchez’s expertise implementing effective management and metrics structures around corporate growth and financial goals position him as an asset to iCore’s executive team and a leader that will be instrumental in driving the company’s continued growth trajectory.

Mr. Sanchez brings an established track-record for driving financial and operational results in key executive positions at public and private companies for more than 15 years within the telecommunications, technology, and real estate industries in the United States and Latin America. He also brings a reputation for strong strategic leadership and effective management to reach target financial goals. Most recently, Mr. Sanchez served as Finance leader / CFO for three divisions at Primus Telecommunications Group (PTGi), leading the restructuring / divestiture of PTGi’s ICS, Retail, and Brazil divisions. Prior to joining PTGi, Mr. Sanchez served in executive level positions at RCN, CTA, and Verizon. Mr. Sanchez holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Finance from IESA.

“We are excited to welcome Eduardo to the iCore team,” said Stephen G. Canton, chairman and chief executive officer of iCore Networks. “His expertise and proven track-record for maximizing business opportunities and corporate financial goals, as well as his leadership experience make him an ideal fit for the role and company overall as we continue to expand and grow into new areas and markets.”

About iCore Networks

iCore is the leading provider of Hosted Unified Communications & Cloud Applications services. iCore has been named number 29 on the Inc.500 list and has been recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies by the Washington Business Journal and SmartCEO. iCore was one of the original providers of cloud-based hosted services and the first company in the United States to provide a fully managed end-to-end Voice over Private Internet (VoPI) service from the handset to the internet. Unlike VoIP, VoPI provides a managed, secure, hosted, end-to-end voice and data system that gives businesses Fortune 500 capabilities at a savings over their current voice and data providers. This includes voice as an application, private internet networks, unified messaging (faxing/voicemail/email), infrastructure management and web security. iCore backs those capabilities with the most customer-oriented employees in the industry; unprecedented reliability and disaster recovery tools; and world-class employee support and training.
