Vormetric to Present Data Security Strategies at UP 2012 Cloud Computing Conference

Click to Tweet: @Vormetric #Encryption Expert to Present #CloudSecurity #DataSecurity Best Practices at @UP_Con http://bit.ly/KgtDYZ

WHO:

Ashvin Kamaraju, vice president of product development at Vormetric, Inc. Mr. Kamaraju is an expert in security, encryption, file systems, volume managers, storage, clustering and replication. He has held executive technology management positions with Symantec and Sun Microsystems where he contributed to the Solaris operating system. Mr. Kamaraju has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.

WHAT:

Information security is no longer confined to the data center. With the advent of virtualization and cloud computing, security must be able to follow data where ever it goes. Meanwhile enterprises must maintain visibility, custodianship, and policy enforcement across all three of today’s IT infrastructures. In this session, “Brave New World: Encryption and the Cloud,” Mr. Kamaraju will explain how encryption and key management are making cloud data security a reality across data center, virtual and cloud environments. He will present best practices for protecting sensitive structured and unstructured data, and explain:

-- Why security is no longer a barrier to moving data to the cloud.

-- How encryption can be remotely applied to data in any cloud environment, including PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS.

-- How to create and enforce access control policies, maintain separation of duties, and centralize key management for datacenter, virtual and cloud environments.

WHERE:

UP 2012 Cloud Computing Conference,

South San Francisco Conference Center, Room G.

WHEN:
